content – in the image we can see 2 soldiers, the soldier on the right appears to be a medic and the soldier on the left could either be an axis soldier or an ally. the medic could either be examining his injuries to assess seriousness or dressing the injury.
composition – robert capa uses a medium shot to focus the audiences attention on the mans injuries and the medic addressing the injury.
context – this image has been taken to portray the seriousness of war and how even the most serious of injuries such as blindness won’t get you sent home, they expect you to fight until the very end.
connection – i don’t feel like this picture particularly relates to my work. this is because there are many possible outcomes for the photo.
comment – i believe this photo could be possibly controversial as the injured soldier could be an enemy and the field medic could only be analyzing his wounds and not giving him first aid.
